Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Charge Nurse, where your expertise will lead compassionate patient care and team coordination in a vibrant clinical setting. Duties Provide direct patient care with a focus on safety, comfort, and individualized treatment plans, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations. Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to care protocols. Lead patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each individual's needs, including those with complex conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or chronic pain. Oversee documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage emergency situations by implementing airway management, IV infusion protocols, and acute pain management strategies while maintaining calm and effective communication. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate diagnostic evaluations, medical imaging procedures, and case management activities. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, infection control policies, and safety standards across all nursing operations. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding (ICD-9/10). Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders. Competency in advanced nursing procedures such as catheterization, sterile processing techniques, tube feeding management, and ventilator support. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver interaction and client education. Ability to handle high-pressure situations involving urgent care or emergency medicine scenarios confidently.
