Full Benefits Position Overview An established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership during evening shifts, weekends, holidays, and other periods when senior leadership is not on-site. The RN Supervisor will oversee patient care operations, support patient flow and staffing, coordinate resources, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with organizational, state, federal, and accreditation standards. This position serves as a key clinical resource across departments and plays an important role in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide operational and clinical oversight during assigned shifts. Monitor patient flow, bed utilization, admissions, transfers, and discharges . Conduct rounds throughout patient care areas and departments to identify operational and clinical needs. Respond to emergency codes, rapid response events, and critical incidents. Provide leadership during emergency situations and support incident command activities. Coordinate staffing, equipment, and supplies based on patient and operational needs. Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, case management, infection prevention, emergency department, and ancillary departments. Support staff through coaching, mentoring, guidance, and problem-solving. Interpret and communicate organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate effective communication between departments. Assist with clinical staff orientation, education, and professional development. Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives. Support compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements. Provide input regarding staff performance, competency, and disciplinary processes when appropriate. Promote a positive patient experience and service excellence. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing. Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License. Minimum 4 years of recent clinical nursing experience . BSN currently in progress or willingness to obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire, when applicable. Strong clinical leadership and decision-making skills. Knowledge of nursing practice standards, patient care principles, and regulatory requirements. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and healthcare-related computer applications. Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory or clinical leadership experience. Experience in an acute care or behavioral health environment . Knowledge of utilization review, discharge planning, and case management. Experience with patient placement, bed management, and patient throughput. Familiarity with evidence-based patient status criteria.
