Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care. As Nurse Manager, you will coordinate nursing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster an environment of continuous improvement in patient outcomes. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth. Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of patient care. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures aligned with best practices and organizational goals. Coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and medical documentation for accuracy and completeness. Facilitate staff training on EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner, along with other clinical software platforms. Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and workload distribution to optimize team efficiency. Requirements Valid registered nurse (RN) license with current state licensure. Extensive experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I & II trauma centers; ICU experience preferred. Proven leadership experience in nurse management or supervisory roles within acute or long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; proficiency in medical documentation standards. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in behavioral health settings is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing long-term care facilities. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration. Ability to handle complex cases involving ventilator management, catheterization, IV infusion/insertions, tube feeding, sterile processing, and infection control protocols.
