Paygrade 13, Hourly, depending on experience Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position
Job Summary:
The Charge Nurse RN assesses the priorities of patients and will make appropriate patient assignments to ensure exceptional care. You will report to the Manager.
Primary Tasks:
Anticipate and evaluate discharge needs and coordinate with multi-health disciplines in planning for care after discharge. Perform physical and mental assessments on patients. Create individualized plan of care and revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment; evaluate patient plan for effectiveness. Assess pain management techniques; educate patient and family regarding pain management. Organize nursing activities reflecting due consideration for patients needs and the needs of the facility and staff. Knowledge of medications and IV fluids and their correct administration, based on the age of the patient and patient's clinical condition. Consult other departments to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs. Operate with competency in assigned unit and using specialty instruments, supplies, and equipment. Provide education and training to nursing staff. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing
Current CPR certification
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
PALS certification required within 6 months of hire Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or Multi-State RN License Current BLS certification ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire PALS certification required within 6 months of hire Anticipate and evaluate discharge needs and coordinate with multi-health disciplines in planning for care after discharge.
