HCA Healthcare is seeking a Neuro Med Surg Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to provide leadership and clinical expertise for a busy neuro medical-surgical unit. The Coordinator will oversee patient care delivery, support bedside RNs, and ensure adherence to evidence-based neuro and med-surg standards. Responsibilities include coordinating admissions and discharges, managing patient flow, mentoring and precepting staff, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The role also involves monitoring quality metrics, supporting patient and family education, and promoting a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the neuro med-surg unit Provide direct patient care and serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff Support safe admissions, discharges, and patient flow processes Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Monitor and improve quality, safety, and patient satisfaction metrics Precept, mentor, and provide feedback to nursing staff Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Assist with staffing, scheduling, and delegation of assignments Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement Required Skills Neuro nursing care Medical-surgical nursing Clinical assessment and critical thinking Care coordination and patient flow management IV therapy and medication administration Cardiac and neuro monitoring Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Leadership and staff supervision Patient and family education Quality and patient safety practices
