9659767-35080 Job Description Bring your expertise in occupational therapy to a rewarding part-time contract serving elementary school students near the Helena, AL area for the 26/27 school year. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact at two supportive and collaborative school sites, working 20 hours per week. Your foundation in school-based OT will enable you to work with students with diverse needs, helping them build essential everyday skills, maximize their independence, and achieve their academic potential. Youll partner with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies directly into the classroom setting.

Desired Qualifications:

Current licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in school-based OT strongly preferred Skilled at working with elementary-aged children with a range of developmental and learning needs Ability to independently manage a part-time caseload across two sites Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams Creative, compassionate, and adaptable approach

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students, tailored to IEP goals Conduct assessments and document progress Develop and implement individualized intervention plans Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate therapy into daily activities Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Maintain organized, timely documentation and communication
