Occupational Therapist (Early Intervention)

Job Description

Consider joining the team as an Occupational Therapist with Casa Pediatric Care. We are seeking a full-time OT to join our small-but-mighty team of therapists dedicated to providing quality early-intervention services in Northwest Arkansas. ( Part-time options also available ) Our practice is unique in that all services we offer are provided within natural environments (homes, daycares) with a focus on caregiver coaching and empowerment. We are dedicated not only to giving excellent care to the children and families we serve but also working as a team to support and empower one another. Spanish-speaking applicants are encouraged. •The pay range listed is for a
FULL-TIME
productivity expectation of 20-24 hours productive/billable hours per week. This is much lower than typical full-time productivity expectation given the mobile nature of our work. Employees are allowed to make up for cancellations or low census with nonbillable work as needed. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate each child's functional fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills, identifying areas of strength and needs/challenges, using formal evaluation measures and informal assessment as indicated. Design individualized Plan of Care and/or IFSP that target the child's developmental needs and prioritize the family's concerns and goals. Implement treatment plan in natural environment settings (home, daycare, school, or community-based setting). Therapy to place an emphasis on building parent capacity to provide support to their child's area of concern during daily routines, using parent coaching strategies. Evaluate children's needs for adaptive equipment including orthotics and equipment related to positioning and mobility and team with local DME companies to supply adaptive equipment. Document evaluations, therapy, and progress notes as needed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Medicaid, insurance, and First Connections guidelines. Coordinate with other CPC team members and prioritize interprofessional practice with other medical and educational team members to facilitate quality and holistic care for each child. Make referrals within and outside of CPC as warranted. Participate in CPC team meetings. Participate in IFSP and biannual review meetings as part of the First Connections program. Maintains confidentiality of all information as required by HIPPA law.

Licensure:
Reimbursement for State License renewal General job requirements: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program Valid Arkansas State OT license Continuing education to meet minimum licensure requirements for the state and the First Connections program Valid Driver's license, automobile insurance, working and dependable personal vehicle, clean background checks At least 2 years of OT experience including experience working with children ages birth-to-three. Candidates with a foundation or working with infants and/or medically complex children are strongly encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$63,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
