Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist licensure and credentials for school-based practice Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment strongly preferred Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and therapy documentation Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families Strong ability to adapt OT techniques to meet diverse student needs Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards in all interactions
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to determine students functional abilities and therapy needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans as part of IEP team Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in various school settings Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success Document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records Participate in meetings to share expertise and contribute to student-centered planning Offer strategies and resources that foster student independence and participation in school activities
