Job Description

Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Valid California OT license (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued Knowledge of IEP process and proficiency in developing and implementing therapy plans Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Ability to assess student needs and tailor interventions appropriately Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students' needs for occupational therapy services Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate closely with educators and families to support students' academic and functional development Provide direct therapy sessions to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and activities of daily living Participate in IEP meetings, prepare documentation, and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and federal requirements Offer in-services or consultative support to school staff as needed to promote accessible learning opportunities
