Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Bring your passion for occupational therapy to a dynamic K-12 educational setting, supporting students' growth and success throughout the school year. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and adolescents. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering students' fine and gross motor skills, collaborating with educators and families, and utilizing a range of tools, including teletherapy, to best serve diverse student needs.
Preferred qualifications and skills:
Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience in educational (school-based) and/or teletherapy settings Demonstrated skills in supporting the developmental and functional needs of K-12 learners Proficiency in assessing fine and gross motor skills and designing custom interventions Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff Strong ability to document progress and adapt strategies based on student growth Key responsibilities: Conduct assessments and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals for students Deliver direct and consultative OT services in both traditional and teletherapy formats Facilitate activities to enhance students' motor development, daily living skills, and participation in classroom routines Support implementation of sensory, behavioral, and adaptive strategies across school environments Contribute to IEP meetings and ongoing communication with parents and team members Maintain accurate, timely records in line with school procedures Picture yourself supporting an inclusive learning environment where your contributions help students build confidence and achieve greater independence.
