Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' growth and success by providing essential occupational therapy services within a school environment! This full-time, contract opportunity offers you the chance to work with K-12 students throughout the upcoming school year, guiding them toward greater independence and academic achievement. As a pivotal part of the team, you'll deliver direct therapy services, collaborate with educators and families, and contribute to a supportive educational community.
Key qualifications and experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Proficiency in fine and gross motor skills development Familiarity with school-based OT practices and teletherapy Strong assessment and documentation skills Comfortable engaging with diverse student needs in a K-12 environment Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities Primary responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, both onsite and via teletherapy as needed Assess students' abilities to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate strategies into classroom routines Engage and educate families on supporting student progress at home Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and comply with all regulatory requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams This position offers consistent, school-day hours over 37.5 hours per week, aligning with a typical academic schedule for a healthy work/life balance.
