Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting K-12 students as a full-time Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children across multiple school sites, providing your expertise from now through May 27th, 2027. Located near Cottondale, FL, this role is ideal for OTs passionate about educational environments and dedicated to helping students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active Florida OT license (or eligibility for licensure) Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred Solid understanding of IEP processes and special education services Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple school sites with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to enhance students' participation in the educational environment Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support fine/gross motor skills, adaptive functioning, and sensory regulation Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member Adapt interventions and materials to meet students' unique needs at each school site
