Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services within a supportive educational setting located in the vicinity of Forsyth, GA. This role focuses on collaborating with school teams to empower students in achieving their highest level of independence and academic success. As an Occupational Therapist in this rewarding environment, you'll play a crucial role in supporting student growth, developing targeted interventions, and contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current Georgia Occupational Therapy license (or ability to obtain) Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families Thorough understanding of IEPs and documentation practices Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines Monitor student progress, track data, and report on outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal development and accommodations Educate and counsel students, families, and staff on strategies to promote student participation and engagement Maintain accurate, compliant records in accordance with school and state guidelines This is an excellent chance to work within a collaborative school environment, gain valuable experience, and make a significant impact on students' lives throughout your contract.
