Qualifications and Experience:
Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Masters degree in Occupational Therapy required Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy highly valued Comfortable working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt OT interventions to individual educational plans and group needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments to identify students functional, sensory-motor, and developmental needs Develop and implement targeted intervention plans in coordination with teachers, families, and other education professionals Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal requirements Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for accommodations and support Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster an inclusive educational environment Educate staff and families on best practices for promoting student independence and participation
