Easterseals Rehabilitation Center's Assistive Technology Solutions department is seeking a full-time seating and mobility Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

The seating and mobility Occupational Therapist evaluates individuals with complex rehabilitation, seating, positioning, and mobility needs and recommends appropriate equipment solutions that maximize independence, function, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities include conducting equipment evaluations, coordinating with physicians and therapists, securing funding and authorizations, ordering and tracking equipment, delivering and fitting equipment, and providing follow-up adjustments and support. Experience in seating and mobility is preferred but not required. This position does require some travel.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

Degree in Occupational Therapy or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from an AOTA-accredited program with NBCOT certification Indiana Licensure Assistive Technology Professional certification, preferred but not required Must maintain a valid driver's license and valid car insurance. Ability to lift 70 lbs. on an occasional basis and 40 lbs. regularly. Ability to assist clients in activities including kneeling, crouching, reaching, and bending. Ability to lift and transfer, with assistance, individuals who weigh up to 250 lbs. Ability to push large adults in wheelchairs.
