Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and impactful role supporting students as an Occupational Therapist, taking on a full-time contract position to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This opportunity begins October 12th and continues through November, offering a chance to make a positive difference for young learners in a collaborative educational setting. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in various OT settings, including schools, home health, healthcare facilities, and teletherapy, demonstrating flexibility and a passion for fostering student success. Your specialized skills will ensure continuity of exceptional care for students needing occupational therapy interventions during this transitional period.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state Experience delivering OT services in schools strongly preferred Proven ability to adapt interventions for both in-person and virtual/teletherapy delivery models Familiarity with school-based assessment, IEP development, and documentation Effective communicator with students, staff, and families Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple student cases Experience in home health or healthcare OT settings is a bonus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services to students as outlined in IEPs Conduct assessments and contribute to goal setting for individual students Develop and implement intervention plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and functional skills Collaborate with educators, related service providers, families, and support staff Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed for remote service delivery Maintain accurate records and timely documentation following district guidelines
