Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a district-wide Occupational Therapist serving approximately 30 students. This is a contract opportunity located near Amherst, MA, offering flexible scheduling with full-time hours at 32.5 per week or the option of a 4-day workweek totaling 24 hours. Your expertise will support students' growth, independence, and participation in school activities through targeted therapies and interventions.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Background in implementing therapy for diverse student needs, including IEP/504 planning Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families Ability to manage a caseload efficiently across multiple schools or sites within a district Commitment to empowering students and supporting their educational goals
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' functional abilities, motor skills, and sensory processing as related to educational performance Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with educational objectives Offer direct and consultative therapy to students, both individually and in group settings Collaborate with educators and families to integrate intervention strategies within classroom routines Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and progress reports Maintain timely and accurate documentation according to district and regulatory guidelines Enjoy the flexibility to shape your schedule and make a difference with a manageable caseload.
