Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students ages 6 to 21 as a full-time Occupational Therapist in a specialized school environment. This contract opportunity provides a blend of traditional in-person school-based therapy and the flexibility of itinerant services, including paid travel between locations. You'll serve on a collaborative team dedicated to helping students achieve their fullest potential within an inclusive, supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapy license in Maryland Minimum of one year of experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare OT (school-based preferred) Experience with IEP documentation and participation in multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with teletherapy, home health, or a variety of OT settings is highly valued Comfortable working with students with diverse needs in specialized programs Strong interpersonal and communication skills Not open to OT assistants (COTAs)
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students ages 6-21 in accordance with IEP goals Work within an itinerant model, offering therapy at multiple sites with paid travel Plan and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions Document therapy sessions and progress in accordance with school and state requirements Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers on goal setting and progress monitoring Participate in annual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Contribute to a positive, student-centered school culture
