Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a supportive school district in Ellicott City, Maryland, to hire an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. If you're passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond, we'd love to connect with you. You will work with students across a variety of age groups and educational settings, providing services that support academic participation, independence, and functional development. The OT will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to help students achieve their individualized goals. Responsibilities Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs and eligibility for services Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and IEP reports Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team meetings Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies to promote student independence and participation Requirements Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program NBCOT certification preferred Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Contract Details:
Pay:
$42.00 - $45.00 per hour | 35 hours per week

8/10/2026 to 6/11/2027

Ellicott City, MD Programs serving students with: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), Communication challenges, and Behavioral support needs Some opportunities may support Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs serving children ages 3-4 The largest needs are at the elementary school level with a few needs in the middle and high school level Therapists will collaborate with special educators, related service providers, families, and school teams to support student success and participation in the educational environment Join a team that is committed to supporting students and helping them reach their full potential.
