Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist seeking a contract position in a dynamic school environment. Located near scenic Mexico, ME, this full-time assignment offers a rewarding experience helping students achieve their fullest potential. The position runs from August 20, 2026, through June 9, 2027, providing you the opportunity to make a lasting impact throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid Occupational Therapist license for Maine (or eligibility for reciprocity) Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are also encouraged to apply Solid understanding of pediatric therapy practices and IEP development Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Organized, flexible, and committed to supporting diverse student needs
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Assessing students' functional abilities and developing individualized therapy plans Implementing OT interventions, both one-on-one and in small group settings Contributing to IEP meetings and collaborating with educational teams Documenting progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating updates to families and staff Providing guidance and resources to teachers and parents to enhance student learning and independence Participating in ongoing professional development as needed
