We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, develop, and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional abilities and deliver exceptional patient care inside an Assistive Living Facility. We have positions available in Reed City and Big Rapids Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored occupational therapy interventions. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys while expanding your professional skills. You will be able to treat patients in a dedicated therapy gym within the facility. Duties Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals, medical condition, and functional challenges. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility techniques to promote independence. Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses, and nursing personal and other professionals to coordinate care strategies. Support discharge planning by preparing patients and caregivers with education and resources for continued therapy if appropriate Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately documenting assessments, treatment progress, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare standards. Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various settings such as inpatient hospitals, Assisted Living Facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards. Experience conducting occupational therapy assessments and developing effective treatment plans for geriatrics patients. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
Pay:
$48.00 - $55.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
