Job Description

Jackson Therapy Partners seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist for a travel contract role within the Healthcare & Social Assistance industry. In this position, you'll provide evidence-based OT evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and support patients in improving function, safety, and independence across diverse clinical settings. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, complete accurate EMR documentation, and educate patients and families on exercises and adaptive strategies. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, safety, and independence Document all care accurately and timely in EMR systems Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members on patient goals Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive techniques, and equipment use Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and clinical populations as a traveler Maintain active state licensure, certifications, and compliance requirements Communicate regularly with recruiters regarding assignments, schedules, and goals Contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture in each placement setting Required Skills Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment Functional assessments (ADLs/IADLs) Treatment planning and documentation Use of adaptive equipment and splinting Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration EMR documentation proficiency Regulatory and reimbursement knowledge Time and caseload management Travel and adaptability skills
