Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional patient care on a PRN (as-needed) basis. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of occupational therapy practices, with experience across diverse settings including inpatient, skilled/long-term care, and post-acute care environments. As an Occupational Therapist - PRN, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, supporting clients with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote functional independence and quality of life. Duties Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that align with client goals and medical documentation standards. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and self-care routines. Implement occupational therapy programs tailored to pediatric populations, including early intervention and school-based services for students with disabilities. Support discharge planning by coordinating care transitions and providing education to clients and caregivers. Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and educators to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to confidentiality protocols. Provide support for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders by applying specialized intervention strategies. Participate in case management activities to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Engage in client communication to educate patients about therapy goals, progress, and home exercise programs. Experience Proven experience working. Demonstrated expertise in geriatric occupational therapy Prior experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorders. Familiarity with acute care environments such as ICU settings and post-acute care facilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical documentation standards essential for accurate case management. Experience working with patients across the lifespan—including geriatrics and occupational health populations—is preferred. Strong background in implementing occupational therapy assessments, treatment plan development, and evidence-based practice methodologies.
