Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting PreK-12th grade students as a skilled Occupational Therapist. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners throughout a dynamic school environment. Your expertise will be crucial in helping students achieve greater independence and succeed across academic settings.
Key Qualifications:
Valid license as an Occupational Therapist, with eligibility to practice in North Carolina Previous experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT settings is highly valued Strong background working with students ages 3-18, including developing and implementing IEPs Solid understanding of sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skill development Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with an adaptable, student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services for PreK-12th grade students, both individually and in groups Conduct assessments to identify student needs and craft tailored intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families for integrated, whole-child support Develop, monitor, and document progress on IEP goals, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines Share strategies with staff and parents to foster student growth in school and home environments Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture through professional collaboration
