Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team, committed to enhancing the functional independence and well-being of students with diverse needs. This position is for an independent contractor looking for a school based OT position for 1-2 days per week. In this role, you will develop and implement tailored occupational therapy programs that support students' participation in educational activities, promote skill development, and foster overall growth. Your expertise will help create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges, informing personalized treatment plans. Develop and implement effective occupational therapy programs targeting motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive techniques for students with disabilities. Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence. Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, physical therapists, parents, and other professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support. Maintain accurate clinical documentation within electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and confidentiality protocols. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist with relevant state or national authorities. Experience working with children in school settings or pediatric occupational therapy environments. Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to neurodevelopmental disorders. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays. Skilled in developing treatment plans based on evidence-based practice principles tailored for school-aged children. Familiarity with occupational therapy assessments, clinical documentation, and electronic health records (EHR) management. Excellent client communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams. Pay:
$60.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 7.0 - 14.0 per week
