1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience and both active Oregon and Washington state licenses for a 13-week day shift contract serving Hood River, OR and surrounding areas. Details Home health setting serving Hood River, OR and surrounding areas Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour days (8:00-16:30); 4x10 and 3x12 schedules cannot be accommodated Caseload of up to 6 patients per day with a standard productivity expectation of 30 points Patient diagnoses include dementia, Parkinson's, ALS, MS, orthopedic post-op, and post-stroke Charting is done via Epic Remote Client for Home Health (on laptop) and Rover phone app/OASIS Epic EMR experience required No weekend or on-call requirements Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination Requirements Active Oregon and Washington state OT licensure required; WA license in hand preferred, OR license may be pending at time of consideration Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience OASIS documentation experience required Current BLS certification required Reliable personal transportation required License required if applicable Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are accepted for this position Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within a 50-75 mile radius of the facility are considered local and may be eligible at the same rate Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the submitting facility Previous employment at a Providence facility (travel, per diem, or permanent) must be disclosed, including location and dates The facility's scheduling system groups patient visits to minimize drive time; occasional daily driving radius of up to approximately 60 miles (60-90 minutes total) is possible RTO requests should be minimal; any requests should be confirmed with the hiring manager Business casual attire required; scrubs are permitted in any color but are not required — no jeans Preferred skills include prosthetics/orthotics, dynamic and static splinting, upper extremity rehab, CVA rehabilitation, and lymphedema management Preferred experience includes billing, OASIS documentation, and National Patient Safety Goals/Core Measures Parking is free at the facility
