Private K-12 School / Special Education Program Join Our Team at KBS! KBS is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a part-time basis. Our program serves students in grades K-12 with a variety of learning, developmental, behavioral, sensory, and functional needs. We believe that students make the greatest progress when they feel safe, supported, and understood. Our team works collaboratively to help each student build the skills necessary to increase independence and participate successfully in their school environment. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with teachers, behavior analysts, therapists, support staff, students, and families to provide individualized occupational therapy services based on each student's needs and educational goals. Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need. Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions based on evaluation results, IEP goals, and student needs. Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy services as appropriate. Support students in areas including fine motor development, visual-motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing and regulation, self-care, functional independence, and school participation . Develop, monitor, and provide input regarding occupational therapy goals within students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the educational team regarding student progress and recommendations. Collect data, monitor student progress, and adjust interventions as needed. Complete therapy notes, evaluations, progress reports, and other required documentation accurately and within established timelines. Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, sensory supports, and other accommodations when appropriate. Provide consultation and education to teachers and support staff regarding strategies that can be incorporated throughout the student's school day. Collaborate with behavioral and educational staff to ensure occupational therapy strategies complement each student's overall treatment and educational plan. Promote student independence while using supportive, respectful, and individualized approaches. Maintain student confidentiality and follow all applicable professional, ethical, school, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license in good standing. Current NBCOT certification, as applicable. Previous experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities, or in a school-based setting is preferred. Experience supporting students with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, emotional or behavioral needs, and sensory processing differences is a plus. Strong communication, documentation, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Must be able to obtain and maintain all clearances and background checks required to work with children in Pennsylvania. What We Offer Part-time scheduling.
