This is a pioneering role within our organization, focusing primarily on pediatric clients, with opportunities to work with both children and adults. The position emphasizes a family and community-centered approach, offering flexible hours to accommodate your schedule. As the first occupational therapist in the practice, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop our therapy services, providing meaningful support to clients in a collaborative environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities, focusing on pediatric populations but also including adult clients as needed. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and improve daily living skills. Provide therapy sessions that are family and community-centered, engaging clients' families and caregivers in the therapeutic process. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and community resources to ensure holistic care tailored to each client's unique needs. Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with professional standards. Offer guidance and education to families and caregivers to support ongoing development outside of therapy sessions. Adapt therapy approaches based on client progress and evolving needs while maintaining flexibility in scheduling sessions. Stay informed about current best practices in occupational therapy through ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred; experience with adult clients is a plus but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, adults, families, and community members. Ability to work independently as an independent contractor while maintaining professional standards. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate family and community needs. Commitment to family-centered and community-oriented care principles. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to therapy. Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 - 35.0 per week
