Job Title:

Part Time/PRN Occupational Therapist Location:

Bayou Pines Care Center (New ownership/management as of August 1, 2024)

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to residents in the nursing home on a part-time basis.
• Conduct assessments to determine residents' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve residents' functional abilities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for residents.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in care planning meetings and provide input on residents' goals and progress.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines related to occupational therapy services.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas.
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality care to residents.
