This contract role, based near Gloucester, VA, offers a part-time schedule at 3 days per week with flexibility to accommodate your availability. Youll have the chance to provide onsite services directly to students, collaborating alongside a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for comprehensive support. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state Previous experience in school settings preferred Strong grasp of individual education plans (IEPs) and a commitment to therapeutic interventions tailored to school-aged children Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and support staff Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans Deliver engaging, onsite therapy sessions targeting fine motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care routines Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support personnel to support students academic and functional goals Maintain accurate documentation of progress and communicate results within the educational team Supervise and work collaboratively with an onsite COTA to enhance service delivery
