Occupational Therapist School Setting in Glen Allen, VA

Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist covering a maternity leave through October 23rd. Located near Glen Allen, VA, this full-time role provides a chance to make a meaningful impact across a K-12 district. The position starts as soon as credentials are cleared and the contract is signed—ideally aligning with the school year, beginning August 17th for teacher workweek and August 24th for the official start.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in schools, home health, or healthcare settings as an Occupational Therapist Background working with students from kindergarten through high school preferred Strong collaborative skills to partner with teachers, support staff, and families Familiarity with IEP development and documentation practices
Responsibilities & Duties:
Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse K-12 caseload in a supportive school environment Assess, plan, and implement individual and group therapy sessions based on students' needs Collaborate with educational teams to develop IEP goals and track progress Provide input for classroom strategies and modifications to foster student participation Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and recommendations
