In this school-based position, youll collaborate with educators and families to empower children, providing tailored therapy to help them develop essential life and academic skills. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials to practice. Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued. Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation. Ability to assess students needs and design effective intervention plans. Excellent communication skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility and adaptability to address varying student requirements. Passion for fostering student independence and confidence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct student assessments to identify challenges impacting classroom performance. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals. Deliver direct intervention and monitor progress, adjusting strategies as needed. Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapies into daily routines. Provide training, resources, and support for teachers and families. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings.
