1 Associated (Adjunct) Faculty for Hybrid Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program Associated faculty are appointed each semester to assist with one or more courses during the academic term. The primary role of Associated faculty is to support faculty in course delivery and assessment for distance education and/or onsite lab immersion education courses (Hanover College South Campus, Jeffersonville, Indiana).
Responsibilities Include:
Assist the primary faculty in delivering course content. Contribute to and enrich synchronous class discussions as available and deemed appropriate by the primary faculty. Provide graded feedback on all appropriate course assignments in accordance with established rubrics or grading guidelines. Provide instruction during immersive lab sessions to support the development of skills, knowledge, and clinical reasoning, as deemed appropriate by the primary faculty. Provide graded feedback on immersive lab practical examinations or skills check assessments in accordance with established rubrics or grading guidelines. Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty, and staff. Maintain intellectual integrity and strive for academic excellence in teaching. Ensure all teaching and educational responsibilities comply with accreditation policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associated Faculty for the OTD Program must demonstrate the following knowledge and skills and have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position and profession, with or without reasonable accommodation. A minimum of a terminal academic doctorate in a discipline appropriate for teaching or a Doctor of Occupational Therapy. Active, unrestricted license and eligibility for licensure in Indiana Proficiency with Canvas, Zoom, and course management and online learning tools Ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities in the OTD Program Commitment to building a culturally diverse educational environment Collaboration with faculty and program leadership to ensure course objectives are met Adherence to the core values and ethics of the occupational therapy profession Must have reliable transportation and/or be eligible to be an authorized Hanover College driver We are seeking individuals with documented teaching expertise in the following areas: Human Development and Occupation Theoretical Perspectives and Healthcare Policy Pediatric Conditions and Performance Neuro Rehab Mental Health
