PCompensation:
$18/hour increases based on experience SSM Health Day Institute is seeking a Rehab Aide to work in our specialized outpatient rehabilitation program. We have ten centers across the St. Louis Metro area serving individuals recovering from a traumatic injury or illness who no longer require 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care. Company-matching 401(k) retirement plans as well as life and disability protection Responsibilities Rehab Aide performs patient-related tasks assigned by therapist, including but not limited to: Lifts patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs, and other equipment appropriate to the facility/department. Assists patients with transfer activities to all surfaces. Assists patients in donning/doffing all appliances specific to the facility/department. Positions patients in parallel bars and prepares patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipment. Transports patients to/from therapy as needed. Assists therapist with other patient-related treatment activities as appropriate and provides equipment. Assist with patient-related activities, including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice Act. Maintains the department and department equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Current State Driver's License in good standing required Class E license allowing for the operation of the shuttle bus prior to start date. Preferred Qualifications CPR certification First aid certification Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center Additional Data Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans
