Job Description

Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Working under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you'll implement treatment plans, document progress, educate patients and families, and support functional independence in daily activities. Responsibilities Implement OT treatment plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist Assist with patient evaluations by collecting data and observations Provide therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, mobility, and functional independence Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and patient responses in EMRCollaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams on patient care plans Maintain equipment, treatment areas, and adherence to safety/infection control standards Participate in care conferences and contribute to discharge planning Adapt interventions to various settings (hospital, SNF, outpatient, home health) Support quality, compliance, and patient-centered care initiatives Required Skills Occupational therapy treatment implementation Knowledge of ADL and functional mobility training Therapeutic exercise and activity adaptation Use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment Patient and family education Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation SOAP and goal-oriented clinical documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Safety, infection control, and body mechanics Understanding of rehab regulations (Medicare/Medicaid, insurer requirements)
