Job Description

Bring your passion for pediatric occupational therapy to a dynamic part-time opportunity supporting elementary students. This contract position offers 20-25 hours per week, giving you flexibility while making a meaningful difference in a school environment located near Long Beach, CA. Enjoy working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive support to young learners as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with valid state licensure Previous experience within a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, educators, and other support staff Excellent communication and time-management skills Capable of adapting to diverse student needs, including implementing creative, engaging therapy activities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to an elementary student caseload under OT supervision Implement treatment plans that support students' goals for fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and classroom participation Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session notes Assist in progress monitoring and contribute input for IEP meetings as needed Provide resources and recommendations to teachers and families to promote generalization of skills in classroom and home environments Participate in team meetings and continuing education as required by the assignment This role offers the balance of part-time hours and the rewarding experience of helping children thrive academically and socially.
