Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working in schools or with pediatric clients is strongly preferred Familiarity with IEPs, goal setting, and documentation requirements in an academic context Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families Ability to motivate and encourage students to participate in therapy activities
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to IEPs and under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Support and carry out therapeutic activities to improve students' fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills Accurately document progress, attendance, and outcomes for each student Communicate with educators and family members about student goals and progress Adapt and modify activities to facilitate students' participation in classroom routines This contract runs from November to March, offering a flexible schedule—work two days per week, with the option to select the days that fit your routine. This arrangement provides a balance between professional fulfillment and your personal commitments.
