Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) working in a supportive school setting. This full-time role, located near Middletown, DE, is ideal for professionals eager to contribute their expertise to student success and growth. With a work week of 37.5 hours, youll be an integral part of the school community from August 25, 2026, through November 13, 2026.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Delaware license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Experience or strong interest in working within schools or pediatric settings Proficiency collaborating with teachers, therapists, and educational staff Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to support individualized educational plans (IEPs) and document progress effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in providing direct services to students under supervision Support the implementation of therapeutic interventions tailored to student needs and abilities Work closely with teachers and educational teams to foster student engagement and participation Maintain accurate records and contribute vital information to educational and therapy team meetings Adapt therapy activities to classroom settings, ensuring inclusion and accessibility for all students Facilitate group and one-on-one sessions, addressing fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily functional tasks
