Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant COTA Location:
Fitzgerald, GA Join the Harmony Health & Rehabilitation Center team as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents! As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy services that help our residents improve their ability to perform daily living activities, maximize independence, and enhance their overall quality of life. About the Role The COTA will be responsible for assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist, providing occupational therapy interventions, documenting residents' treatments and progress, and communicating regularly with the supervising OT. The COTA will also educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist Provide occupational therapy interventions including therapeutic activities, ADL (Activities of Daily Living) training, adaptive equipment use, and functional mobility tasks Document residents' treatments, progress, and response to interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards Communicate regularly with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and recommend modifications to treatment plans when appropriate Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence Adhere to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current and valid certification/licensure as a
COTA CPR
