Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Browns Health & Rehabilitation | Statesboro, GA Full-Time At Browns Health and Rehabilitation, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, resident-centered care. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in helping our residents regain independence, improve their quality of life, and achieve meaningful functional goals. environment Opportunity to grow your clinical skills and advance professionally Work with a diverse geriatric caseload and meaningful functional goals Strong focus on resident-centered care Supportive environment for both experienced clinicians and new graduates Opportunity to make a measurable difference in residents' daily lives What You'll Do As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled interventions designed to improve residents' functional independence.
Your day may include:
Providing skilled ADL and IADL training Therapeutic activities and exercises Functional mobility and transfer training Cognitive and safety interventions Adaptive equipment training Fine motor and coordination activities Patient and caregiver education Documenting treatments, progress, and clinical response Communicating with the OT and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress Helping residents achieve meaningful, individualized functional goals What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current, valid COTA license/certification in Georgia CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire Strong communication and teamwork skills Passion for working with the geriatric population Previous SNF/LTC experience preferred, but not required New graduates are encouraged to apply!
