Iowa Veterans Home | Marshalltown, IA Benchmark Therapies is looking for a Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa . This is a great opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working with older adults and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative therapy team. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the veterans you serve while helping them maintain their independence, participate in everyday activities, and continue doing the things that matter most to them. What You'll Do Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist Help veterans improve or maintain independence with daily activities, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional skills Carry out individualized treatment plans based on each veteran's needs and goals Build positive relationships with veterans, families, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team Communicate changes in condition, progress, and treatment needs with the supervising OT and care team Complete timely and accurate documentation using Net Health and facility systems Contribute to a positive, collaborative therapy environment What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current Iowa COTA license in good standing A genuine interest in working with older adults Strong communication and interpersonal skills Someone who values teamwork, clinical judgment, and individualized care Long-term care or geriatric experience is helpful, but not required Why Benchmark Therapies?
