Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant supporting elementary-aged students in a specialized academic and life skills program. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to promote student success in a dynamic school environment near Chicago Heights, IL.
Key Qualifications:
Current Illinois licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA IL) Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to a self-contained classroom environment and engage with children of diverse abilities Dedication to enhancing students' functional, social, and academic potential
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting Follow established IEP goals and therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students daily participation and skill development Monitor, document, and report student progress, adapting interventions as needed Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute input to support successful learning outcomes
