Our speech and occupational services work to improve clients' speech skills, communication, sensory processing, fine motor and gross motor skills. We are dedicated to the progress and success of everyone under our care. Position Summary The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, and provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a school setting, grades K-5. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a compassionate, student-centered approach. Responsibilities Provide direct, in-person therapy services to students in grades K-5 with varying needs•both 1:1 and group settings. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions using evidence-based strategies, targeting client goals such as fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, activities of daily living (ADLs), and self-regulation. Collaborate with educators and interdisciplinary team members to support goal carryover and functional success. Complete Medicare billing on time and accurately. Monitor student progress, adjust therapy plans accordingly, and accurately document treatment and progress in accordance with program/district and state guidelines. Participate in meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as scheduled Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state licensure regulations, company policies, and district regulations and policies. OTR/L Education Requirements M.O.T. or O.T.D. from an accredited program. Current and active Occupational Therapist License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Current NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy). COTA Education Requirements Associate's degree in OTA Current and active COTA License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current NBCOT certification Experience At least 6 months of pediatric experience, ideally in a school setting. New graduates with strong pediatric fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply! Understanding of sensory integration, motor development, and play-based therapy approaches. Excellent written communication and documentation skills (grammar, spelling, punctuation). Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
