Position Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA assists residents in achieving maximum independence, functional ability, and quality of life through therapeutic interventions and resident-centered care.\nEssential Functions Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional performance. Observe and report resident progress, concerns, and changes in condition. Document treatments and resident responses accurately and timely. Assist with evaluations, screenings, and data collection as directed. Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and safety techniques. Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve resident goals. Participate in care planning and quality improvement activities. Comply with facility policies and all applicable regulations.\nQualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with current state licensure or certification.
