Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Summary:

Patapsco Healthcare, a leading provider of post-hospital, short-stay nursing and rehabilitation services, is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our interdisciplinary clinical care team. As an OTA, you will play a vital role in helping patients and residents achieve their highest level of function and independence. Located in Randallstown, MD, our facility offers a unique and supportive environment for patients and residents to receive the care they need.

Responsibilities:

Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of patients and residents Conduct occupational therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and assessments, under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care and communication Utilize assistive technology and modalities to support patient rehabilitation and independence Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans Participate in in-service training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and industry developments

Work Environment:

Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and physicians Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in occupational therapy

Requirements:

Associate's degree in occupational therapy Assistance or related field Current certification in Occupational Therapy Assistance 1 years of experience required (recent graduates welcome to apply) Ability to work part-time schedule (specific hours to be determined) Licensure in the
