Job Description
Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting K-12 students with their functional and academic growth as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a contract basis. You'll be collaborating with a dynamic educational team and providing hands-on support to students of various ages and abilities, helping them achieve their goals throughout the school year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Maine state licensure or eligibility Prior experience with school-based occupational therapy services preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy and support services to students across K-12 populations, as outlined in their IEPs Implement and adapt therapeutic activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to help students access their curriculum and daily routines Document daily interventions, track progress, and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and legal guidelines Contribute to IEP meetings and participate in ongoing student assessments
