Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school-based setting near Ypsilanti, MI. As a valued member of the special education team, you'll provide direct therapy, collaborate with educators and families, and help make a meaningful difference in students' day-to-day independence.
Desired Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Michigan Prior experience in either educational or healthcare environments, preferably with school-aged children Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to individual student needs Commitment to supporting student achievement and participation within the school community
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals for each student Assist with evaluations, documentation, and progress reports as required Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to tailor interventions in classrooms and throughout the school Contribute to classroom modifications, adaptive equipment usage, and sensorimotor activities to foster student independence Enjoy the stability of a full-time position with the comprehensive benefits offered as part of this contract.
