About the
Role:
As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy services to our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the OT Providing occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic activities, ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and functional mobility tasks Documenting residents' treatments, progress, and response to interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards Communicating regularly with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and recommending modifications to treatment plans when appropriate Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence Adhering to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current and valid certification/licensure as a
COTA CPR
certification required (or must obtain upon hire) Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
