Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional occupational therapy services across diverse settings. In this flexible position, you will assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patient care, and promoting functional independence for clients of all ages. Your expertise will help improve quality of life for individuals facing physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and neurodevelopmental disorders. This role offers the opportunity to work in the home health setting providing meaningful care where and when it's needed most. Duties Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, and mobility tasks to foster independence. Implement treatment interventions for clients with childhood developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental conditions. Help with patient transport within facilities and ensure safe manual handling during therapy sessions. Document care activities accurately and maintain detailed care records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists to optimize patient outcomes. Provide specialized pediatric occupational therapy services focused on childhood developmental delays and sensory integration strategies. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Prior experience working in acute care settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and treatment plan implementation. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or cerebral palsy. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions across diverse populations. Ability to assist with ADLs and perform manual handling safely in various clinical settings. Familiarity with pediatric occupational therapy techniques and experience working with children experiencing developmental delays or behavioral challenges is a plus. Pay:
$39.94 - $49.26 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
