In this energetic role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to implement personalized treatment plans that promote independence and improve quality of life. Supporting adults in acute care settings, in our skilled nursing facility.. Header Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility tasks to enhance independence. Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, ensuring therapeutic goals are met effectively. Facilitate patient transport within healthcare facilities, ensuring safety during transfers and mobility exercises. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists to optimize patient care strategies. Maintain accurate care documentation, progress notes, and treatment records in accordance with facility policies and medical terminology standards. Utilize manual handling techniques and physiology knowledge to assist with patient positioning and therapeutic activities safely. Header Experience Prior experience working in inpatient settings such as hospitals or skilled nursing facilities is preferred but we will consider a new graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program who has passed the NBCOT Exam and is licensed in the state to practice. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or geriatrics enhances your effectiveness in this role. Proven communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams are essential for success. Knowledge of medical terminology and occupational health practices ensures adherence to safety standards and quality care delivery.
